Stanley L. Stickles
Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 14, 2018 at Rapelje Lodge in his 85th year.
Loving and devoted husband of 62 years to Kathy. Dear father of Gary (Natalie) of Fonthill and Robert (Erin) of Vancouver. Proud and loving "Papa" of Matthew and Gillian. Stan was predeceased by his parents Tom and Doris (Clarke), brothers, Norm, Tom and Neil, and sister, Glenna (Gaiser). He is survived by his brother Dan. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Born and raised in Welland Ontario, Stanley worked for Canada Bread as a delivery driver before settling in at Atlas Steels in 1962 until his retirement in 1993. Stan loved travelling, puttering around in his basement workshop, music, but most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Kathy, Gary and Rob would like to send heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rapelje Lodge (House 300) for their compassion and care over the last year and a half. At Stan's request cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place on a later date at Pleasantview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.
