Passed away peacefully at Pioneer Elder Care, St. Catharines on Monday, July 10, 2017 in his 99th year.
Beloved husband of the late Anne Vasas (67 years).
Father of Barbara Carll and Carol West. Cherished grandpa to Justin Carll, Tara Carll, Hali Carll and great-grandson Mathew Mattei and great-granddaughter Kailey Wilson.
He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Rosa (Kohary) and Lawrence Vasas and siblings Rose Vasas, Kelly Vasas, Chester Vasas, Zoli Vasas, Eugene (Jim) Vasas.
Friends will be received at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Saturday, July 15th from 9:30-11:00 am with a Legion Service beginning at 10:45 am.
The funeral service to honour Charles's life will take place at the funeral home following the visitation at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Welland Rose City Legion Br. 4, 383 Morningstar Avenue Welland, Ontario L3B 5B5.
